When we support people to communicate their own perspectives and experiences are we really aiding participation and positive change?
Our C4D and Participation section brings together a range of resources, case studies and thinking around participatory approaches and participatory communication as we consider which community actors are participating? Who is communicating? Does such communication get heard? And by the right listeners? Does it help? Does it build skills that can then be used for improved livelihoods? Or are we just setting people up for more disappointment, and doing more harm than good?
