OECD: Portugal is the country with the most innovative projects to combat Covid-19
The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has identified 150 differentiating projects worldwide that aim to tackle the pandemic and Portugal is one of the countries with the largest number of solutions. OECD data highlights Europe and America where the innovative bet has been greater. At the opposite extreme is Asia and Africa.

Open COVID Pledge: Removing Obstacles to Sharing IP in the Fight Against COVID-19
Creative Commons has joined forces with other legal experts and leading scientists to offer a simple way for universities, companies, and other holders of intellectual property rights to support the development of medicines, test kits, vaccines, and other scientific discoveries related to COVID-19 for the duration of the pandemic. The Open COVID Pledge grants the public free, temporary access to IP rights in support of solving the COVID-19 crisis, removing unnecessary obstacles to dissemination of the knowledge and inventions that could save lives and limit suffering.

C4D Network curated resources to mark World Malaria Day 2019
On 25 April – World Malaria Day 2019, the World Health Organisation will join the RBM Partnership to End Malaria, the African Union Commission and other partner organizations in promoting “Zero malaria starts with me,,” a grassroots campaign that aims to keep malaria high on the political agenda, mobilize additional resources, and empower communities to take ownership of malaria prevention and care.

The Mobile Gender Gap Report 2019 (GSMA, 2019)
This report reveals how the mobile gender gap is changing in low- and middle-income countries, as well as ranking the factors preventing equal mobile ownership and mobile internet use for men and women, and outlining the commercial and economic opportunity that closing the mobile gender gap represents.
Findings from this report are based on the results of over 20,000 face-to-face surveys commissioned by GSMA Intelligence across 18 low- and middle-income countries, and subsequent modelling and analysis of this survey data.
