WHO Kenya: Engaging traditional leaders during COVID-19
During the COVID19/pandemic, WHO has engaged the elders and religious leaders in this community in Kenya and sensitized them on matters related to Covid-19 since they are the influencers and decision makers in their community. The community leaders sit with their members and identify the responsibilities of each segment of the population and decide how the interventions will be customized to best suit their environment without disrupting normalcy.
