This 90 minute study module is designed for human rights activists who would like to learn how to effectively communicate to journalists to support their advocacy work. Starting with an overview of what media relations is, the course provides tips on building relations with journalists. Participants will be well equipped to manage their campaign’s media relations after learning a step-by-step approach to creating a contact list, writing a press release or producing a video release. The power of content marketing and social media will also be examined through real-life examples.
