A new publication has recently come out from USAID and the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) called “Stories from the Forefront: Interviews with Social and Behavior Change Communications Media Professionals”. This report was created for the EatSafe Project by Pierce Mill Entertainment & Education and Weinreich Communications.
This guide presents behind-the-scenes stories from top practitioners in the field of media-based Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) worldwide – including executive directors, country directors, producers, and researchers. Through a compilation of candid interviews, the publication shares lessons from the field on effective approaches and potential barriers to success for those using storytelling to bring about health and social change via SBCC media. It draws out the common threads and key themes from the interviews to provide guidance on how to increase the likelihood of effectiveness for entertainment education-based programs.
