Open COVID Pledge: Removing Obstacles to Sharing IP in the Fight Against COVID-19
Creative Commons has joined forces with other legal experts and leading scientists to offer a simple way for universities, companies, and other holders of intellectual property rights to support the development of medicines, test kits, vaccines, and other scientific discoveries related to COVID-19 for the duration of the pandemic. The Open COVID Pledge grants the public free, temporary access to IP rights in support of solving the COVID-19 crisis, removing unnecessary obstacles to dissemination of the knowledge and inventions that could save lives and limit suffering.

Global Task Force for Public Media
The Global Task Force for Public Media have issued their first statement recognising the essential service of #publicbroadcasters during the pandemic #coronavirus.
Led by CBC/Radio-Canada‘s President & CEO, Catherine Tait, the Global Task Force exists to defend the values & the interests of #publicmedia. The GTF includes the leaders of seven public broadcasters including ABC Australia, BBC, France Télévisions, RNZ, SVT and ZDF.

UNICEF: Traditional leaders in Niger
In this UNICEF Niger blog, read about Amirou who has stories to tell as a traditional chief. His career is well known throughout the country. He started in the Tillabery region, near the border with neighboring Burkina Faso. There he was the Chief of the Canton of Tagazar. Years later he became a Commander of the army and later was nominated president of the Association of Traditional Chiefs of Niger.
