Malaria Social & Behavior Change Communication National Strategies (collected and mapped by HC3 2016)

HC3 has analyzed, collected and mapped a number of national malaria communication strategies. A number of countries are updating their malaria communication strategies as they prepare concept notes for the Global Fund. The strategies include those written both and after 2010 as well as current strategies.

Planejamento Participativo para o Desenvolvimento Compatível Climáticas, em Maputo, Moçambique é ‘manual que se baseie na experiência de um projeto piloto que foi premiado com a Organização das Nações Unidas um praticantes Award Atividade Farol’.

Baseando-se uma longa tradição académica de planejamento participativo, este dois idiomas (Inglês / Português) livro aborda questões cruciais sobre a relevância da participação dos cidadãos no planejamento para o desenvolvimento compatível com o clima e argumenta que os cidadãos tenham conhecimento e acesso a recursos que lhes permitam desenvolver uma visão sustentável para sua comunidade. A fim de fazer isso, o autor propõe uma metodologia de planejamento de ação participativa para organizar comunidades, e também avança mecanismos de desenvolvimento institucional por meio de parcerias.

Participatory Planning for Climate Compatible Development in Maputo, Mozambique is a practitioners’ handbook that builds upon the experience of a pilot project that was awarded the United Nations ‘Lighthouse Activity’ Award.

Building upon a long scholarly tradition of participatory planning, this dual-language (English/Portuguese) book addresses crucial questions about the relevance of citizen participation in planning for climate compatible development and argues that citizens have knowledge and access to resources that enable them to develop a sustainable vision for their community. In order to do so, the author proposes a Participatory Action Planning methodology to organise communities, and also advances mechanisms for institutional development through partnerships.

A Estratégia de Comunicação para a Mudança Social e de Comportamento (CMSC) para a Prevenção da Desnutrição em Moçambique constitui uma ferramenta valiosa para orientar os
implementadores de programas de Comunicação para a Mudança Social e de Comportamento (CMSC) para prevenir a desnutrição e promover as práticas-chave de nutrição prioritárias para o
País, seguindo uma abordagem harmonizada e as melhores práticas de nutrição e de CMSC a nível global.

Após uma breve contextualização da situação do País, o documento explica os conceitos da abordagem de CMSC. De seguida ele oferece, em primeiro lugar, o conteúdo técnico-chave que
serve de base para a elaboração de mensagens de comunicação e, em segundo lugar, orientações para a contextualização dessas mensagens, de forma a reflectir a realidade de cada programa, tendo em conta o contexto socio-cultural específico de onde as intervenções de CMSC serão implementadas. Por fim, os anexos que oferecem alguns recursos para a consulta durante a planificação e implementação dos programas de CMSC em nutrição.

(FANTA provided support to the Mozambique Ministry of Health to develop a national Strategy for Social and Behavior Change Communication for the Prevention of Malnutrition. The strategy (in Portuguese) serves as a tool to guide implementers of social and behavior change programs to prevent malnutrition and promote priority nutrition practices for the country. The strategy follows a harmonized approach and global best practices in nutrition and social and behavior change. An executive summary and pamphlet are also available to inform stakeholders about the strategy.)
